Who it’s for

Dancers, performers and movement practitioners who want training that supports their practice—not a generic workout detached from it.

02

The problem

More effort does not always create better movement. Repeated tension, compensation and uncertainty can limit range, control and confidence.

03

What you take away

A clearer map of your own movement, practical strategies to train with intention, and tools you can apply in class, rehearsal and performance.

The practice

From awareness
to performance.

The session connects how you sense movement, how you organise it and how you express it. Every part moves from exploration to practical application.

01

Read your movement

Awareness

Notice how breath, alignment, weight and effort shape the way you move—before trying to correct anything.

  • Body awareness and proprioception
  • Breath, tension and support
  • Recognising habitual strategies
02

Build better options

Smart training

Use focused strength and control work to create more adaptable foundations for demanding movement.

  • Core control and anti-rotation
  • Pelvic organisation and hip stability
  • Feet, balance and end-range control
03

Transfer it to practice

Integration

Connect the work to movement phrases and performance demands, so the learning travels beyond the workshop.

  • Coordination under changing demands
  • Choice rather than rigid correction
  • Questions and personal takeaways
Strong foundations are not fixed positions. They are options you can use.

Questions,
answered.

Do I need professional dance experience?

No. The workshop is most relevant if movement is an active part of your life, but you do not need a specific technique level. Options will be offered so you can work intelligently at your current level.

Is this a high-intensity fitness class?

Not in the conventional sense. You will work physically, but the focus is quality, control and decision-making rather than exhaustion for its own sake.

Can it help with an injury?

This is an educational movement workshop, not diagnosis, physiotherapy or rehabilitation. If you are injured or in pain, seek guidance from an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring water. Any specific equipment or arrival details will be confirmed with the booking information.

Who created the method?

Strong Foundations, Better Movement was created by Bety Pujol Cajal, drawing on more than ten years across dance, Pilates, conditioning and movement education.
